Why was the Netcomm Seal created?
To give Italian users a strong sign of quality and a clear message: buying online is simple, convenient and safe.

What is the purpose of the Seal?
It is a symbol of quality and attention towards the client, which immediately permits the user to identify a Netcomm associate company.

Who can use the Seal?
Only companies who join Netcomm can use the Seal. Seeing that the consortium was created to optimize e-commerce in Italy, an associate company only remains such as long as it respects the fundamental client centred philosophy and continuously tries to improve the level of service offered.

What is anyone who displays the Seal obliged to do?
There are no formal obligations or procedures to be respected because they are not part of the purpose for which the Netcomm consortium was formed. The “moral” obligation however is that of doing everything possible in order to satisfy the client because that is the only way in which Italian e-commerce will be able to grow equal to that in other countries.

If I purchase from a website with the Seal do I have an extra guarantee?
You have the guarantee that you are visiting a website that shares the way of thinking and spirit of a consortium created to promote high quality e-commerce. Formal guarantees are not foreseen, even though generally Netcomm associates already offer a very high level of protection before, during and after purchase.

If I have a problem with a purchase online can I report it to Netcomm?
Of course, you can write to info@consorzionetcomm.it. However Netcomm has no right to intervene with associate companies regarding operative questions, nor does it have a role of “public” quality control. Reports will therefore be used by the consortium to gain a better knowledge of the critical situations in e-commerce or the most significant situations, with the aim of developing the market. However Netcomm can neither answer nor follow-up reports. For organizational reasons, Netcomm cannot transmit the reports received to its associates.

Is an member website obliged to display the Seal?
No, there is no obligation to display it. Vice versa its display is forbidden by non-members.

I have seen the Seal in a website, how can I check whether it is "real"?
All you need to do is enter this website and click on “authrized websites”, the complete list of the associate companies of Netcomm. If a website is not on the list, it cannot use the Seal. If it is, it can (but is not obliged to) use it.
